The Purpose of the Southworks Engineering and Robotics Competition is to provide an opportunity for local and regional manufacturing companies to sponsor and partner with local high schools to develop individual projects engaging students with the STEM field. The ultimate purpose of our program is to foster long-term year-round relationships between industry and schools.

Southworks 2020 Is Recruiting Mentors!

The robotics team provides students experience applying technology problem-solving in a group setting; skills relevant to your workforce needs. By connecting with the school, you will have the opportunity to find young talent for summer internships and full-time jobs after graduation. The robotics sponsorship includes a mentoring relationship and an annual fee of $1,250.00, which covers $1,000 of costs for the school as well as funding for the end-of-year Southworks Engineering & Robotics Olympics. The event will be held at South Suburban College as a culmination or our region's commitment to promoting careers in manufacturing to young people. The ultimate purpose of our program is to foster long-term year-round relationships between industry and schools.
