Big Shoes Award 2018
The Big Shoes Award has grown from a small event to a beacon of achievement for the region. Giving this award, highlights the quality of manufacturing companies that started from humble beginnings to stellar advancements. As the 2017 article in the Daily Southtown by Ted Slowick demonstrates, the Big Shoes Award is part of our regional marketing campaign to highlight the under appreciated economic manufacturing strength of the Chicago Southland.

BIG SHOES AWARD 2018 HONOREE
We are pleased to honor Gallagher Asphalt and its President Charlie Gallagher during the 90th anniversary of this family owned company for their leading innovation in technology. Since their founding in 1928 by James F. Gallagher, Sr., Gallagher has paved or resurfaced hundreds of thousands of miles, under some of the most demanding conditions.
Gallagher Asphalt sponsored Marian Catholic High School in the Southworks Engineering and Robotics Olympics. Charlie says:
